Memoranda of understanding on these two projects were signed last year, in addition to two new ither memoranda initialed, in the middle of this year, to extend the period of the preparatory studies period for a year to come.
Chariot had begun its activities in preparation for signing a final agreement with the Mauritanian government allowing it start the project’s development operations. In this context, the british energy major has, also, striked many deals with the company “Total Arn” and the European port of Amsterdam.
It is expected that Mauritania will start producing and exporting green hydrogen at the end of this decade, according to official documents issued by the ministry in charge of the energy sector.
