In partnership with Chariot, Total Eren ready to embark upon the Nour Green Hydrogen Project in Mauritania
The french company, Tot al Eren confirmed it will partner with Chariot on Nour Project, a large- scale green hydrogen located in Mauritania, said a joint statement.
In this occasion, the Executive Vice-President of french company, Fabienne Demol stated : “Our skills complement those of Chariot well and we intend to share our expertise throughout the development of the project. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Mauritanian authorities for their support and cooperation. We look forward to taking the next steps in the project with Chariot”.
The company highlighted that the project has all that it takes to produce some of the most competitive green hydrogen in the world, thanks to strategic positioning of Mauritania and to its unique solar and wind resources.
Moreover, it added that green hydrogen is capable of providing a cost-effective and transportable energy solution to replace CO-emitting fuels.
The Joint statement pointed out that the two companies will launch feasibility studies to co-develop the project, in preparation for signing the agreement wit mauritanian government in order start the exploitation.
It is worth mentioning that this 3,5 billion USD project, located in the mauritania region of Dakhlet Nouadhibou, aims to produce 10 gigawatts of solar and wind energy.
