Mauritania: Workshop on local content in green hydrogen
The Mauritanian Ministry of Energy organised today, in collaboration with Shariot and Total eren, a workshop on local content in green hydrogen. This activity comes within the framework of the preparations carried out by the two companies for the launch of the Nour project for green hydrogen, carried out by the two companies.
The Secretary General of the Ministry specified, on this occasion, that the objective of this workshop is to involve local companies in a continuous reflection on the opportunities offered by the development of the hydrogen sector in Mauritania. He insisted, in this context, on the importance of acquiring the necessary skills to access these future markets and meet the needs of the sector in the years to come.
During the workshop, the Franco-British consortium presented a study on the various aspects of the project, which aims to harness 10 GW of renewable energy to produce green hydrogen. The total investment for the project is estimated at $3.5 billion.
